SOWK: JMU Graduates!

Good afternoon!
I am almost through posting pictures from this season of graduation. :) But first, meet the JMU Social Work department, class of 2012!  We faced a rainy day as we took pictures, so most of the photos took place in the great refuge of the Wilson Hall auditorium.  My boyfriend Andrew was one of just four guys in this SOWK graduating class, but he is the only one who came for the photos.  These awesome friends strive to help people in their upcoming careers, and it is so exciting to see some getting job offers right now!  Enjoy viewing some of the photos from that day! :)

In honor of one of the guys who wish he could have been there!

Just one of the gals... NOT!

Andrew just started his job as a youth director at a church, and he is attending seminary school this fall...
Hence, they wanted a preacher picture.

I sincerely apologize for the strange darkened corner in a few of these photos...
I am still trying to figure out what the cause of that was. :(

And now they are out to change the world, one family at a time! Thank you for this great opportunity, friends. :)

God bless,
Kelly

LOL Small Group: JMU Graduates!

¡Hola!
During my time at James Madison University, I have been blessed to be a part of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.  IV is fully centered on God - worshipping Him, learning about Him, celebrating salvation and fellowship, and reaching out to those who do not know His unconditional love.  One core part of IV is small groups, groups of guys or girls that become more like family as the small group members share their lives and walk together throughout college.  (If you're interested in learning more, check out www.jmuiv.com !)
Nearing the end of this past school year,  I was able to take photos for a couple of small groups!  First up is LOL.  As most of us know, LOL stands for "laugh out loud," which describes these girls perfectly!  They all laugh a lot together and enjoy each others' unique laughs.  Beyond that, though, the LOL ladies have a vision to "live out love," and so LOL takes on an additional meaning.  Throughout college I grew to know and love these girls individually, and they have shown me love in a lot of ways.  It was a ton of fun spending time with them all together as they celebrate graduation!  Enjoy viewing some photos from the beautiful day. :)

Katie was hiding, because she didn't bring her cap & gown. I tried to assure her that it was perfectly fine!

Frolicking: a personal favorite pastime :)

LOL!

Congratulations, girls! I've had a blast with you! Thank you for always striving to live out love.

God bless,
Kelly
